Great staff but sheets had stains and floor was filthy when we got in and a lot of insects in the rooms
Genuinely terrible, the room still had trash from the previous guests and the blankets had mold on them. The walls are very thin and the main door doesn’t even lock, and the doors to the rooms don’t feel very secure. And on top of that the service was VERY mediocre, front desk lady was on her phone talking to someone while she served us and just overall did not look happy to be there. Only good thing about this place is how close it is to Cracker Barrel
Staff/ owners wife not friendly. Stay involved broken hot tubs, frozen biscuits and gravy for breakfast and black dirty feet from room floor not being mopped. Not allowed to bring breakfast to our room and severe lack of maintenence made us very feel hotel was misrepresented. Lack of quality and long term customers made it feel similar to a half way house. The lack of franchise enforcement make this a failure on Howard Johnson and will never stay or recommend another location.
Got in the room and no remote for the TV. Called the front desk and they didn't have a response. When looking for the remote found the smoke detector, looked up and just wires hanging from the ceiling. Kid went to use the toilet and it started tipping to the left.
