Inexpensive family fun The Houston zoo is such a fun place to visit! It is fairly inexpensive and the exhibits are appropriate for kids (and parents) of all ages. They have a water area for the kids, along with a petting zoo. The petting zoo is always our favorite because you can get a brush at the door and brush the goats. Every time I've gone, they've had all of their animals out. They also rent strollers for a small fee in case your little one can't handle the walking.
