For Children Here is a great place for the entire family to enjoy. I know my kids enjoyed when we went. They have many animals to view and great aquariums. It is a very clean environment. The price is kinda high, but well worth it. They have areas to rest and stop and buy snacks. They have very clean bathrooms as well. They have where you can buy souvenirs.
Large Zoo, lots of animals The actual zoo was big and had lots of things to see. It was very clean, and I loved the underground tunnel that let you see the lions close up (they were probably less than a foot from the glass!) Unfortunately, if it's a hot day, you won't have much fun (I got heat exhaustion). In the kiddie zoo, they have a fan with water spraying in front of it so you can get misted and not feel as hot, but it's not much compensation. It would be much better to go to the zoo on a cool day, with lots of shade.
fish and fish My grandchildren had a blast when we went there for a small vacation. They loved seeing all of the beautiful , different types of fish. A Place to go and relax
Great Family Time It's a great place to take the family for the whole day. At that price for the whole day it's really worth it. My child loves the childrens section of the zoo!!! Graet place to spend family time.
OK It's always nice to visit a zoo. In Houston we have the disadvantage of terrible weather a lot of the time (it's either scorching hot or raining), so outdoor activities can be difficult. The animal exhibits were nice and we enjoyed walking around and seeing the critters. The aquarium was indoors and very nicely featured. The entrance price was inexpensive. Outside of the zoo is a park where they have a little train kids and adults can ride around on. It's a decent, fun zoo.
Houston Zoo The Houston Zoo has a wide variety of animals for you to view. They have dolphin shows. There are nice places to eat. Plenty off different varieties of drink. Strollers that you can rent. And toys that you can buy for the kids. It is a great place to have a good time.
I hated this place. When I got the idea to go here, I thought I would be spending a great afternoon here. Instead, I was bitterly disappointed when I got there. Not only did the place smell horrible and the heat was blistering, but the animals were a disappointment as well. I guess I was supposed to be entertained by them, but I ended up feeling sorry for them. They were dirty, tired-looking, and non-energetic. I am not an animal rights activist by any means, but the animals there are in a horrible condition. Here's some adv... read more
