Awesome Zoo This is one of the best zoos I have been in. You can go indoors to the different habitats when it is hot. the animals live in very realistic habitats inside and out. Sometimes that makes it hard to see the animals, but it made me feel like they were being treated humanely. The children's zoo is awesome. There are animals who are native to Texas for the kids to see and pet. They also have some shaded areas for the kids to play in. The price is reasonable for a huge zoo and actually less than other smaller zoos.
I love the monkeys and turtles Sadly the bear did not want to show up the day I went. I love going to the zoo to see the cute animals. My favorite animals there are the turtles and the monkeys. The place smells but what do you expect from a zoo. I wish they could lower the prices of their food but again, what do you expect from an amusement park. Again i could state that I wish they lowered the prices of the gift shop, but then again, it's an amusement park. Fun time though!
Nice Zoo! This zoo is pretty nice. It is quite large and they have a wide variety of animals to look at. I would not recommend coming here on a hit summer day because most of the animals will be under their cool caves and you will end up with blisters and a crying baby. There is also a nice lake located right by the zoo!
A swell time to be had The Houston Zoo.. a fun place, an animal place. A place for the kids, a place for the adults, a place to take your husband or your wife, or your animal-loving teenager, the Houston Zoo can offer fun and a day of "oooh's" and "awww's" for anyone with an appreciation for God's little friends. There are critters in all shapes and sizes here, from slithering reptiles to sunbathing bears to jumpin little monkeys, you and the whole family can enjoy a day well spent at Houston's Zoo Incorporated. The perfect place to take your family... The Zoo has changed a lot since I was a child, but it has only gotten better with it's new renovations. Signs clearly point out exhibits and other amenities. Best to go early to get decent parking near the zoo. Take bread and feed the ducks at the lake by the train station. There are also picnic facilities available nearby if you want to make a day of it. Take some cash. The gift shop has a lot of cool items, but they are pricey. Food prices are reminiscent of theme park prices. You m... read more
Great Outing We have had great times at the Houston Zoo. There are so many animals to see. I like the acquarium most. Kids enjoy the monkeys. It is a lot of walking around. They have a play area for the kids and many places to have lunch.
very good but a little pricey The admission fees just went up recently but I believe it is due to all the renovations they have done. I like that there is a nice park to have a picnic afterwards with the kids and ride the pedal boats and train.
Kids and adults will love this place! The Houston Zoo has came full circle and is enjoyable again! If you haven't been to the Houston Zoo in awhile nows the time to go! We took a break from going due to the lack of animals available for the kids to see. It was always a downer, no animals to view, they were easily bored! We have since gave it another try and this experience was fabulous. The kids had a great time! They have added a few more exhibits and really cleaned the place up. My kids really enjoyed the bald eagle present... read more
