Wonderful people, lovely facility, quick access to open water, great regattas, and again, wonderful people. I live in central Texas now, but can't give up my membership. HYC is still my go-to place on Galveston Bay. I go back every chance I get.

HYC is an amazing place! Among the membership there are families with 3 or 4 generations of membership, and countless lifetime friendships. It is friendly, laid back and fun.

We've been members for decades and are somewhat biased, but the Houston Yacht Club is a grand place on many levels: sailing, boating, dining, raising youngsters, socializing with great people and welcoming new members.
