Great group of people with lots of fun times. The Houston Yacht Club sponsored Regatta's are some events everyone should do if given a chance. The cook offs with whole pigs being cooked does not get much better.
My wife and I belong to the Jackson Yacht Club. While passing thru Houston, last Thursday, we decided to eat lunch at your yacht club. The people were very friendly as was our waitress! The Maryland crab cakes were the best that I've ever eaten! My wife really liked the Shrimp avocado salad. Thanks for being such a great host!
My husband's family had a 38 foot Chris Craft at the Houston Yacht Club and he spent many summers on the boat. The name of the boat was the Bambi. It was destroyed in 1962 by Huricane Carla. The next boat was a 32 foot Chris Craft named the Poly Gayla. He won 3 place back stroke at the Houston Yacht Club 1961 swim meet and he still have the ribbon.
