I dearly love this hospital but I have a problem with the pain machine doctor’s office they referred me to in the emergency room. I was referred to Dr. Mohammad Azzam. Tried to make an appointment but the receptionist was inept. After speaking with someone who seemed to be sleeping and disinterested, I decided to go to my PCP for a referral. Many people who posted wondered why Methodist would recommend this office.

I had a bit of a wait while in extreme pain, the nurse explained they were short handed but there was only 1 person ahead of me. Dr Nguyen fortunately saw the issue on the cat scan (bowel obstruction) and sent me home with a laxative that takes 2-3 days (!) to work. It is day 4 since Methodist and almost 2 weeks since I started going to different ER's only to be told different diagnoses and forms of treatment that weren't effective. While the laxative is starting to work slowly, I have nothing for pain, and OTC pain medicine... read more

The staff were friendly and kind, and my needs were met in quick time. The lab work took a bit more time than I thought it would but I received care quickly and with a smile
