I can't say enough what a great experience I had finding my wedding dress at House of DeVaughn. Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with. She communicated details every step of the way, and was so encouraging through the entire process. She is great at getting a feel for the brides taste and what it is she is looking for. I ordered a bridesmaids dress here at the request of the bride. I gave them 2 stars because I'm still going to wear the poorly fitting dress, but I would never buy from them again mostly because of the customer service experience. The owner is difficult to work with, and very defensive and argumentative when you try to communicate with her. I have uneven measurements on the top and bottom so I understand I am hard to fit. We never cut corners when we order a dress and we fully explain the dress manufacturers size chart with the individual at time of order. I went to House of Devaughn yesterday to try on dresses, and I have to say it was by far the best experience I've had yet. Both Kim and Alan were so attentive and helpful. They truly made me feel like my finding a dress was just as important to them as it was to me. The customer service they provide is outstanding, and for that reason I can't to do business with them!
While I did get my dress here in no way shape or form would I ever go back. I had family with me when I tried in dresses and they didn't put me in anything my family chose. I told her my budget of $1000 and when I seen a dress for $1100 I asked to be put in it and she refused because it was over my budget. I understand that it was above my budget but in no way did I have a tight budget. When it came to trying on the dresses she put them in the dressing room and let me figure out the rest. We respect budgets, and our brides do not want to fall in love with a dress they can not afford to purchase. Letting your sales person know that its flexible is a bonus for both you & us. We also take responsibility for mistakes we make.
