Dependable Beer and Grub in Theatre District – Tasty fresh beers on tap and in bottles starting at a reasonable 5.50 (although how big is that glass?!) and large portions of well cooked food. I had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwhich which was a solid steak cooked to be lovely and juicy with a mountain of fries. If you're going to a show and don't want a full on dinner menu this is the place, everything was delivered to our table of four extremly swiftly. The menu seems to have more variety at the joint than on this website, in... read more
Crowded House – I'm part of a weekly Wednesday drinking group of 30 or so regulars who love to drink, geek out, talk and eat after work. We check out a different bar each week. We've been kicking around the city for 12 years. In that time we've visited several hundred bars (with repeats of faves). This place is similar to the Ginger Man in midtown-- amazing beer selection, but because of it, they suffer from overcrowding at times. I'm a big fan of wheat beers, berry beers and winter ales, House of Brews does not disappoint. ... read more
Wide variety – Wow! impressive list of brews on tap. We went on a Friday night and standing room only. service was prompt and beers were cold. couldn't as for much more.
HOUSE OF BREWS ROCKS MY SOCKS – they're for the cause. amazing. simply amazing. the bartender is better looking than any other in this city, especially the wrecked pay-for-fun-females at 230 fifth.
Great beer selection at a reasonable price – Great place. Beers are reasonably priced and they have a large selection. Food is good. I enjoy coming here whenever I get the chance. It gets busy but is not overly packed. It is small, but there is an upstairs to eat and drink.
House of Fun – Drink, sing and be merry at this wannabe sports bar. I like it when they turn up the music during random moments during the night. The food is pretty decent, shockingly enough. Try heading out here for Happy Hour.
Editorial Review – More than 80 draft and bottled beers from 30 countries available. Menu ranges from burgers to crab cakes.
Great Beer Selection – Huge beer list, I tried a leffe from Belgium and it was great. Pretty crowded but not packed in like sardines. Try the frites or the German Bratwurst.
Baseball Season – Went here on Monday 4/3 to watch opening night of baseball. TONS of large, flat screen TV's! You can view multiple TV's from any seat in the house. Very comfortable atmosphere with large booths for groups, high bar tables, and a lounge area with couches. Great selection of beer and the appetizer selection was versitile. I recommend an ice cold BEER BONG full of Leffe and the sliders. Few of the waitresses had some nice a**es!!! This will be my home for the 2006 baseball season.
