Having grown up in Gonzales, this is the most splendid Plantation House of the South ! The stress & daily tension slips from your mind & body as you engross yourself in the beautiful surroundings ! A pleasure to be "back home"
This was a great place to bring your family. I was very impressed with the views of the grounds. The overall tour was very knowledgeable. I definitely will be back for Christmas.
Best gardens of all the plantation tours we have taken! Our house tour guide "Debbie" was very entertaining and informative!
Beautifully restored house and gardens, plus a knowledgeable (and opinionated!) guide. My only complaint is the food at the Cafe, which was overpriced and the worst meal I had during my 10 days in Louisiana. I would go back to tour the house again, though.The history is fascinating, and the gardens are so lovely and peaceful.
