We needed a last minute hotel and the Hotel Lucent popped up in our search. We were pleasantly surprised at this great little spot. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. We interacted with a couple different people and were impressed with their welcoming kindness. The lobby is cute with a pool table, small gym area and a sitting area. We LOVED the outside courtyard! The hotel was great! A professional staff. The room was really nice and clean 👌 but the heater was out, so they had a space heater that didn't work. Also the plugs on the nightstands didn't work, so I couldn't charge my phone. Otherwise it was really nice.

I’d get 10 stars if I could. Great location near downtown Menlo Park and the grocery store (Safeway) are steps away. Amazing complementary breakfast, giant, hot tub, nice clean modern interior and comfy rooms with all of the essentials. I’m staying here for a week and could not ask for better accommodations. The staff were super friendly and helpful upon check-in. I would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here on future visits.

I was stuck with this hotel (motel?) for a last minute business trip because all other options were booked or above the approved budget. Still, I was charged $400 a night for a room that smelled, and had an uncomfortable bed and incessant noise from the passing cars nearby. The only positives were a friendly front desk and a renovated and modern bathroom, but then again the hair strands that were in the shower since day 1 kinda killed that for me as well.
