Some random rumbling noise occurs periodically but the front desk staff- specifically the gentleman working 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday 4/7/26 & the woman working AM of wed 4/8/26 were both incredibly LOVELY-- bummed I didn't get their names-- also great gym, and breakfast chia pudding.

Hotel Lucent is a classic motel that was refurbished to be modern a few years ago. The staff is cordial and everything works well. Check for the spring time deal (or other deal) on the hotel website if you are staying more than a day, it could be a better rate than Travelocity, you may have to click for extra info. Ask for a room away from El Camino (less noise). Book early if possible, the hotel fills up with business and Stanford travelers.

We needed a last minute hotel and the Hotel Lucent popped up in our search. We were pleasantly surprised at this great little spot. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful. We interacted with a couple different people and were impressed with their welcoming kindness. The lobby is cute with a pool table, small gym area and a sitting area. We LOVED the outside courtyard!
