I was stuck with this hotel (motel?) for a last minute business trip because all other options were booked or above the approved budget. Still, I was charged $400 a night for a room that smelled, and had an uncomfortable bed and incessant noise from the passing cars nearby. The only positives were a friendly front desk and a renovated and modern bathroom, but then again the hair strands that were in the shower since day 1 kinda killed that for me as well.

The hot tub had one working jet and was dirty. We had to request a new room after initial arrival as the first room had a dirty and stained couch. The continental breakfast was the worse that I have seen. The outdoor fireplace was full of water and not working. Seems to me that it’s in the middle of a renovation or exchanging owners. I currently would not recommend.

Staff was very friendly but room had mold covered toilet paper (see pic) which was beyond gross!!!

Room was nice and worker Michael handled a overdramatic customer really well, so props to him. Kept his composure and did everything he could to accommodate her but she just wasn’t having it which was annoying but he did really well. Good job Michael, also room was nice and clean and comfy

We stayed for 3 nights and the room and service were excellent. We will definitely stay at Hotel Lucent again when we visit family in Menlo Park. Great service and great customer service. Lovely hotel and beautiful out door courtyard and hot tub.
