They have rules about no visitors after 7pm which is not disclosed anywhere on the website. They have a weird doorman who demands your room number and is quite rude about it. It felt like I was staying at a YMCA. No other hotels in the area have this weird rule.

I’ve stayed in many hotels, but I’ve never been treated so rudely over something as basic as water. At check-in, I was told Hotel G could refill our bottles with filtered water. When I followed up, the front desk clerk David was dismissive, condescending, and outright rude. Being denied filtered water is disappointing enough, but being belittled by staff is unacceptable. This is a lovely hotel, clearly renovated with care. The common spaces and rooms are beautiful, stylish, and comfortable in design. The only major challenge I ran into—and what I’d recommend people watch out for—is that the top-floor rooms (floors 11 and above) seem to have non-functional air conditioning. My own AC didn’t work, it’s 85 degrees in here and after asking around, several other guests told me the same thing about their rooms. In a warm month, that makes it tough to stay comfortable.
