Horrible Parking Situation and Understaffed – (1) The hotel has a sub-par contractor handling parking and there is no secure lot within the hotel. My car was vandalized and burglarized while in the care of this valet. The valet acted like they could have cared less. Now several days after the incident, I have not heard from the valet company and the hotel has not bothered to call me either to find out if its contractor has acted responsibly to resolve this issue. A Place to Relax – I think the Hotel Contesa has a unique style the staff was very frinedly, the hotel is very clean and the food in the restaurant is great a bit high in price but good. It was my first time in San Antonio I enjoy the riverwalk even if it was raining at times. We had the luxury suite with the view to the down town area it was nice to see it at night and it was great to see the day light in the morning. Comfortable Stay – As we drove into entrance we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff. Even I had to wait a little longer than I thought I should the staff was attentive when it was my turn. The Bellman waited patiently with our bags and delivered them to our room while we left to walk on the Riverwalk and to eat dinner. The Bellman took care of our daughter?s stuffed animal and made sure to her that he would. Interesting Stay – I travel frequently around the country and Europe and found Hotel Contessa very mediocre. The hotel itself looked nice but service was slow. The most disappointing part of the stay at Contessa was the theft of several articles. I am sure this doesn't reflect on everyone there but it will prevent me from staying there again or recommending the hotel as this has never happened to me before at any hotel. Bryan Dawson
Courteous, aesthetically pleasing, and sooooo friendly – There is not an area of this hotel that is not pleasing. The staff seem to know they have it great here. They are genuinely ecstatic about their work. Not a frown seen in 4 days! Wonderful interior design and cozy furniture. Finest, cleanest, friendliest hotel I have stayed in, period! – This was undoubtedly the finest Hotel I have stayed in inside the USA! NIGHTMARE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT! RUN! RUN! RUN! – It is my personal duty to find every website that allows ratings of hotels in the area and leave a rating for Hotel Contessa accordingly on every one! Great Looking Hotel – Wonderful decor, lot's of beautiful touches, convenient location. Noise level was a problem, the higher you go the more the sound from the lobby echoes. Noisy neighbors slamming doors kept us awake for two hours during the night. Pullout sofa in the living room was very uncomfortable. Otherwise, this was a great place, clean, new, great for traveling with kids.
