We are a fun, funky bar and grill with a pin-up girl, 50's, rock-a-billy theme. We specialize in Americanized versions of classic menu items such as a fish fry, a Greek platter, panini sandwiches (we call grillers) and specialty burgers that are all paired with flavors of HeadStone Heat hot sauce that is made, bottled and sold on site. Val was behind the bar, very friendly. Ordered BBQ Chicken Wings with Fresh Cut Fries, came out hot & delicious ��
Went to watch the live band. Ordered the Sophia Loren wings and they were amazing!!! Also had the rice ball it was huge and delicious! Loved the atmosphere would certainly go again when I go back to Buffalo
Wow the eggplant wings are to die for!! I was visiting from North Carolina and really wanted some sweet tea ..I was super scared (southerns like it sweet!!!) And was pleasantly surprised!! Was so good!! Staff and owners were super friendly too!
So this toothless termite is walking along the train tracks from Canada to the USoA and he comes up to the International Railroad Swing Bridge in Black Rock and shouts, "Hey, is the bridgetender here?" "No" comes the reply from high above, "but if you walk on over to Hot Mama's Canteen, you'll find the bartender there!" 😃
I always have a fabulous time at Hot Mama's whenever I'm in Buffalo. They treat you like family, make great food, program fun music and serve the drinks cold. A five star experience!
After a rehearsal or show, folks from the American Rep Theater will head down to Hot Moma's Canteen for a dram or three. It has become our official hangout and never hesitate recommending HMC to folks. The best part is a kitchen that remains open late which has a great menu to chose from including the highly addictive Sophie Loren chicken wings. House music never disappoints.
