We have always loved Hoss’s. The Duncansville PA Hoss’s is close to us. The last few times we have been there the steaks are horrible. They are tough and don’t even taste like steaks. Why they would take one of their most favorite steaks off the menu and replace it with a low quality steak is something I don’t understand. The Burgandy Steak was always tender and so tasty. RecommendedMy experience at State College Hoss’s during “crazy requirement” season, was the best dine in service I have ever had! Tim was our host/server. Shout out to Tim “YOU NEED A RAISE”! Anyway Tim was so polite and well mannered that I would bring him in to my own home to server my family. Just like he did today! The cooks that made my salad “wouldn’t be surprised if it was Tim” bravo! Blackberry tea on point like always! That’s State college Hoss’s for the great lunch! Oh and the advice with garlic bread 😘

We were there for a banquet and waited an hour after ordering for food to arrive. Went up to salad bar and everything was almost empty ot empty. When food arrived it was just slapped on a plate. I order my steak medium well and it came out medium rare. Waitress short staffed and getting drink refills or having order fixed was impossible. Not sure what is going on at Hoss's lately but the quality of service and food has gone drastically down hill.

My family stopped by this evening to grab some hoss’s while in state college for the evening. My son always has lots of energy so we try to not eat out too often. Our server was Jordan and he was so friendly. Got our refills as soon as we needed them. Our food was amazing. My son was playing “stop sign” with our waiter and he played along with my son which you often don’t see when you go out to eat because everyone is so consumed by their jobs or aren’t kid friendly! my coffee was like water. sent my steak back under cooked came back over cooked baked potato so cold it wouldnt melt butter had to send back. Soup and salad bar poor variety. husbands meal was good. excellent waitress
