My dad has been on a ventilator for a month due to COVID 19. He got off the Ventilator a week ago and we were told he needed to get into a Rehab facility ASAP. Hospital for Special Care is only one of TWO rehab facilities in the state of CT that accepts COVID positive patients, and the other has a waiting list. They are not admitting my dad because he has a trach Mask. This is discrimination. The longer my dad goes without the therapy he needs, the less likely he is to recover from this horrible virus.
