Poor management. VP in charge of respiratory therapists is horrible. she targets staff who dont agree with her and gets very angry. i left because of the unhealthy environment. The hospital is okay but this VP is awful. She is not someone that has respect in hospital. she has bad tantrums

My dad has been on a ventilator for a month due to COVID 19. He got off the Ventilator a week ago and we were told he needed to get into a Rehab facility ASAP. Hospital for Special Care is only one of TWO rehab facilities in the state of CT that accepts COVID positive patients, and the other has a waiting list. They are not admitting my dad because he has a trach Mask. This is discrimination. The longer my dad goes without the therapy he needs, the less likely he is to recover from this horrible virus. I have to give a HUMUNGOUS shout out and heart felt THANK YOU to Hospital for Special Care for lending ventilators to my hospital in our time of need!!! We are so grateful and appreciative! We can’t thank you enough!!!
If their leadership changes hands, then I might consider recommending this place. Until then, nope.
