Art has Metastatic Lung Cancer, with severe dementia and other diagnoses. After almost 2 yrs of treatment, his oncologist referred him to ‘Hospice of the Foothills’ on 2/19/2019. A year later, while continuing to live alone, Art had a stroke on 2/27/2020 and has required 24/7 care since that date. A month after his stroke, on 3/26/2020, ‘Hospice of the Foothills’ discharged Art saying “because he survived the stroke, death was not eminent”. I can't thank Hospice of the Foothills enough for giving my husband the comfort, support and love for his last days. Seveina, his nurse was like a member of our family. She had so much compassion, but still professional throughout Bill's end of days. Hospice was there every step of the way for Bill and me as well as our large family, never a problem answering our many questions. Hospice of the Foothills provided our mom with kind and attentive care. They patiently answered our questions, talking to us over the phone, and coming in person as needed.
