I work in memory care. This morning a lovely nurse came and gave a resident a bed bath, which went well. Res was c/o (THROUGHOUT her bed bath) pain in relation to her catheter. Hospice nurse heard this several times. I as the med passer called this hospice service only to be transferred to a voicemail machine and not hear back. Why was this issue ignored (ongoing, mind you) and why can’t I seem to get any help in resolving it? This resident can be overheard writhing around and groaning in pain as if she were in active labor ... read more
My mother, who I took care of, was in home hospice care. The nurses are genuinely caring people who are with you as much as you wish them to be (no hovering), and are always available with a phone call. They guided me with how to make my mother comfortable, assisting as needed. After my mother passed, they made the initial contact with the funeral home and arranged to have the equipment we had picked up. my experience with the hospice Sacred Heart Hospital been 3 years since my stepdad passed away if it wasn't for hospice it would have been a lot harder I really appreciate them thank you so much for taking your time to being there to help people through the most (toughest roughest) of losing somebody I step dad happened to be my! best friend!,. and if it wasn't for hospice coming in and helping me. and be as caring and (thoughtful) I just really can't think them enough and he was an air force over 20s years service men too h... read more
Sacred heart hospice was supportive and encouraging throughout my husband’s illness and death. They checked in with me frequently even after he passed.
This agency provided us with a nurse(s) who did not show up to scheduled appointments, forgot to bring medical supplies that were promised at prior visits(s), showed up under the influence of something, repeatedly drove up over the curb and sidewalk, refused to provide updated medication list with every dose change & refused to provide safety equipment that the Attorney General Advocacy office stated are allowed in -home settings, but in order to have them paid for by insurance, the agency had to prescribe them....they refus... read more
