Played Angeles National recently and the course is in fantastic shape,greens are fast and the layout is challenging. However, being a desert-style course in the foothills, the heat is no joke. There is very little shade once you’re out on the fairways. Even with the GPS carts and ice buckets, it felt 10 degrees hotter than the city. Definitely book an early morning tee time if you want to survive the back nine without melting🥵
When I say this is the worst public golf course I’ve ever played in my entire life. It is the worst. The staff there are awful. They give no help. Everything closes at 2 o’clock and it’s a seven hour round with no car girl and no warden absolutely a shame such a waste of potential this place do not go here. Save your money.

Balls are trash on the range with premium prices. Feels like ownership doesn’t give a crap if you golf there or not. Place could be so great but, they’re terrible with memberships and building a community there.
Stunning scenery, tough greens, well kept course. No wait on weekdays.
