Stay away from here Yesterday my daughter went to this clinic because she was in pain with an infected gum. The dentist saw her, and informed her that her gum was infected and that she needed a root canal. She was then referred to the business office, where she was told that she would have to leave a copay of over $140 for the return visit. worst dentist on earth! Mr I had dentures made at Horizon, right off I let them know they were crooked. They told me "YOUR MOUTH IS CROOKED". I took a mini cassette recorder to my next appointment and pulled it out and said "I'm Recording this conversation, now you said these dentures are crooked because my mouth is crooked" they proceeded to "fix them". They ground off the tooth they didn't match, and tapered the fake teeth. They were still not right, but I was happy they were a bit better. LEAVE while you can my insurance was taken advantage of. my teeth are in worse shape now. I have one that I kept telling them gives me problems...now I have no insurance and this tooth is SO bad that I am getting sinus infections which is probably affecting my heart by now. I would sue this place if my heart if affected! they are only in this for the money. I need a dentist NOW...
patient After reading all the reviews written, I just want to say that if you are looking for La Jolla style customer service you probably shouldn't be seeing a dentist in El Cajon. I have had a good amount of dental work done at this location and I do not have any complaints. The price was fair, the dentists are caring and the dental assistants were friendly. The dentist always communicated what was being done, keep in mind that you have the right to a second opinion at any time. Thank you Horizon Dental Group!!!!
patient Horizon Dental Group and Dr Garofalo is my dentist now, after having bad experiences somewhere else!!! They are very professional and caring. I came with emergency toothaches and they immediately help me ease my pain! They're not overbooked like other dentists. The wait time is not bad and normal. The people that work there are very friendly and made me feel comfortable! I recommend Horizon dental Group to anyone who's looking for an affordable and a good dentist! GO THERE!!!!
Unclean/Unethical I was given a clean bill of health that day, No Cavities!...except, Garofalo told me I needed a $1000 bottle of mouth rinse because I had such severe periodontal disease that my teeth were going to fall out. Miss The Guy who did my x-rays and the actual Dentist were great.. The rest of the staff is horrible! I have 2 abscessed teeth therefore am in a lot of pain. The girl who was supposed to fill my prescription forgot and left for the day so I had to wait another night for some kind of relief.. Then making an appointment to try and get the teeth pulled is a mess! They don't seem to care about the patients. You tell them my pain from a 1 to 10 is a 15.. and they seem to think it's a joke... Staff The dentist was nice but the receptionist in the back office was very crappy, unfriendly and incompetent. Only go here if you have no where else to go.
