Traveled to the area for business and hotel manager suggested the Hoppy Gnome. It was absolutely fabulous! Our waitress Madelyn was wonderful! Explained every type of taco, if spicy/not spicy, told us they could custom make our tacos if there was something we didn't like. The price is very reasonable and fresh ingredients were great. We had the s'mores for dessert and loved the homemade marshmallows. I wish we had one of these in Indianapolis!
Had some great company - got to have a beverage with Dustin Flaugher. Cory Bice from Cavalier had just sat down & 5 Star brought in 3 Floyds glasses as I was there for the pairing tomorrow. It is a very impressive location & so modern. Can't wait for Hoppy Gnome to sell their own brews. TagaBrew on
The hoppy gnome is a place that Fort Wayne was long overdue for. It has great food and service. Awesome selection of beers and they will be selling their own beer there shortly. I definitely plan on returning!

The Hoppy Gnome is an interesting place. With an open trendy environment made for a night downtown and excellent food. My first visit just happened to be New Year's eve. With elbow room only, it was still warm and inviting. Our server was exceptionally busy, but still managed fairly well. Though he missed half of our order, we nice time. My husband and I started out the new year celebrating my birthday at the Hoppy Gnome. The NY strip steak with a fried poblano potato cake was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. Our server Shelby was attentive and very professionaL. We look forward to visiting the Hoppy Gnome again soon.
