I checked in the EMU on Christmas Eve! I had extreme anxiety about attending this appointment. I knew the purpose of this appointment was to induce seizures. Who would want to spend their Christmas holiday alone in the hospital? The staff at the epilepsy monitoring unit made me feel as if I never left home!
