I sought help because I was experiencing severe anxiety and didn't understand what was causing it. During my assessment after a prior stay I was told that because I couldn't identify specific anxiety triggers, I wasn't eligible for services. I found this confusing and discouraging. I believed a crisis center was a place where people could receive help understanding and managing overwhelming anxiety, even when they don't know the cause. I called because I'm currently overwhelmed by a chronic health condition that is getting worse and my treatment is being delayed. I was also having a panic attack from all this. I thought talking to someone might help and they could at least help me relax, but the nurse on the line did not sound friendly at all. She didn't listen to anything I was saying and sounded extremely apathetic. I was debating on going there to have people help my anxiety, but after this experience I will not ever be going. My experience was extremely disappointing due to poor leadership and inadequate supervision. Management failed to communicate, dismissed concerns, and showed a lack of compassion and accountability during a mental health crisis. The head staff did not provide appropriate support, which made an already vulnerable situation worse rather than helpful

I had a choice on wether I stayed or not. I really appreciate that part. You go and seek help because you feel like your going insane and nobody will listen to you, acknowledge you, see you but then your forced to stay after the long talks are over. And sometimes you probably need to but sometimes you don't. They let me go home. ⭐ Secondly everyone was amazing! Down to earth. Shared their own stories. Talked, laughed.
