Best Root Canal Ever. Weird thing to say, but I've had 2 before. I say best because: 1) Dr Hope took a 3d scan and showed me exactly where the problem was, confirming that the procedure was absolutely necessary (I was worried it may be premature), 2) he drew a picture fully explaining the process to me which I found very informative, 3) there was basically Zero pain besides the initial little pinch of the anesthesia. I had a root canal treatment on a lower right molar over a year ago by an endodontist. It never felt right and after going back a couple of times the endodontist told me that the tooth should be extracted. My dentist felt the tooth was savable and referred me to Dr. Hope. Dr. Hope is exceptional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to him for another root canal. He made me feel so comfortable, and he was constantly checking to see if I was okay. I will never go to a dentist for a root canal again. He is the best.

This was not my first root canal procedure performed by Dr. Hope, and I wouldn't go to anyone else. He listened carefully to my symptoms and thoroughly trouble-shot the problem by applying heat, cold, tapping, etc. He performed xrays and a panoramic scan to be certain which tooth was the problem, explaining his reasoning each step of the way, and showing me the images on a computer screen at the chair. As I walked in I was greeted by his helpful and friendly staff. The chair is well cushioned, it's a small thing but everything together made me feel so comfortable. The X rays were panoramic so no painful cardboard in my mouth. Dr. Hope is very positive and personable. He had a large computer screen- in color- which he explained everything in great detail. Came in with a painful infection regarding an old root canal that failed. Dr Hope explained his findings completely, and started treatment with antibiotics at consultation. A 2nd appointment was made to begin treatment. The day of treatment, inclusive of root canal, he answered all questions so that everything was clearly understood. Face it, no one likes root canals. Dr Hope did mine (2 at once, under a bridge -- in my lower jaw, not under a bridge in Bed-Stuy). He explained and shared x-rays beforehand, showing everything about my condition and everything was going to do. Talked about pain management aftercare but amazingly (to me) I didn't require as much as an acetaminophen. Dr. Hope is an amiable and professional presence and I highly recommend him.

There is not enough I can say about Dr. Hope. He is the best in his field. In all the years I have been going to him for issues that other dentists have messed up, he has consistently proven that he can take care of any issue intuitively, professionally, efficiently, compassionately, and effectively. I don't care if he is in or out of network, I trust no one else to handle my dental issues. If there were 10 stars, he'd get them. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr Hope gave me a root canal. It's a cliche how unpleasant a root canal is, but I was amazed by how easy and painless it was. I am not kidding that I found the experience to be relaxing. I highly recommend Dr Hope.
