Total disregard for patients family. Family member couldn’t move his bowels due to morphine use. He is not at end of life stage yet. Staff was told not to give morphine till they could get bowels moving since he was having problems from being extremely constipated. He could have anything for pain except morphine. I who have power of attorney made this very clear when he was admitted. My mother, the patient’s wife was with him when the nurse practitioner Rosalee was about to administer morphine. Terrible staff in dayshift total disregard for patience carelessness and laziness not acceptable..nightshift staff are the best they take care of business, they check every hour or 30 minutes, very compassion.
Allows patients who clearly aren’t in the correct headspace to self medicate themselves to the point of almost overdosing !!
