Hope Hall is an abandoned state run psychiatric ward from the 1930s through the 1960s. It is partly occupied but not by patients. I have talked to several older local people about abuses at this facility. The stories they tell are of hearing chilling screams day and night. Some of the procedures in side Hope Hall for the patients were electric compulsive therapy, ice water therapy, insulin shock therapy, insulin coma therapy, and lobotomies.
