My AC unit had multiple speed motor with internal regulation for "efficiency" that retails for $500. That motor went bad in 5 years and it was replaced under warranty. The new motor also went bad in 5 years just out of warranty. I initially brought my capacitor to them and they tested it to be good and told me the motor was probably shot.
