our go-to Chinese restaurant— definitely try their Sichuan food menu if you can handle the heat!
Hop Woo is tucked away down 18th Street, a few blocks off the main Castro offering of restaurants and shops. There's an offering of many authentic Sichuan dishes and dim sum. Fast service, spicy food, would go back.
Shrimp fried rice and Mongolian beef is outstanding.
My children had Caviar deliver Mother's Day brunch. So much food it will also be dinner and lunch tomorrow. Very good food. I particularly liked the spicy tofu dish. If you have to be in quarantine on Mother's Day, eating Hop Woo is the way to go.
I love this place. The dim sum is what you should go for. It's delicious. Their other dishes green pea shoots, green beans & clay pot are staples.
