Ellis County Honor Flight Honor Flight National has numerous hubs operating all across the United States with a common goal, that is: to take as many of the remaining WWII veterans as possible to Washington to see the WWII Memorial before it is too late. We are losing 1000+ each day of these heroes from the "Greatest Generation". They and their families served and sacrificed so we as a nation can continue to enjoy the freedoms we have today. A wonderful program! My husband took his dad last month, and his dad said it's a time he will never forget, nor the friends he made there. He said it was the first time someone higher in rank then him 'EVER' shook his hand and took time to talk with him. Thank you men and women of the military for being there to meet and greet the WWII Veterans, you made their day! And thank you Honor Flight for putting this program together and all the work you do to honor those who fought to keep us free! <3
