Located on 70th Street in Lincoln, this is truly a burger lover's paradise with a laid-back and fun atmosphere, friendly staff and good music. The menu here isn't incredibly long, but it will definitely be one of the most creative ones you ever come across with an ever-evolving list of burger combos. Do try their signature 1809 burger prepared with smoked gouda cheese and bacon along with a side of cheesy fries.

Great choice for those with Celiac disease... I enjoyed a gluten free burger (Blackberry Winter) and fries. Even the gluten free bun was delicious. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I'll definitely be returning for another meal!

I love that Honest Abe’s is a great option for those with Celiac Disease. My 2 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac but she still wants cheeseburgers and fries. With gluten free fries that are cooked in fryers that only cook fries, a gluten free bun option, and assurance that the gf food is prepared in a separate part of the kitchen, this Mom couldn’t be happier. Plus, it’s delicious!

Were your ears buzzing? I'm a Lincoln native and while I was at a street-side food stand in a rural area an hour outside of Bangkok I struck up a conversation with another foreigner. He asked where I was from. The first words out of his mouth were 'HONEST ABES is by far the best burger I've ever eaten. Hands down. I even ordered a burger and fries to go.' He preceded to say he can't say much else about Nebraska as he was just driving through .... There you have it, amazing burgers!
I live in Omaha and honestly am not a burger person----but this place is amazing and I am eagerly anticipating my next visit. I was there this week and had the Aphrodite and shared my fries. I am also not a big fries person--but these fries are delicious. Thank you. And staff is very kind, personable and friendly. :)
Please bring back the Buffalo Chicken sandhwhich. Also, this place never disappoints.
Hands down the best burgers in Lincoln. Probably in all of Nebraska. And I dont care if you like a different place so don't reply to this. this is my opinion. Go state your own elsewhere.
