Every major business in town has lost their customers service etiquette including Honda of Salem. It used to be one of the best in Oregon and over 3 decades we’ve purchased many vehicles from them but now we are looking elsewhere. The service department has employed very rude and impatient individuals. when you finally get someone to answer the phone after almost 20 minutes wait they want to force you to go online to book appointments. racist, sexist, dishonest, disrespectful, hateful people that run and operate this dealership, this is coming from someone that purchased her FIRST EVER CAR at 21 years of age. Not having any other representative other than myself. I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I receive every single time I go to this location. My 2023 Honda Hrvs back window completely shattered on my way to work (5/2/24) because they built the car wrong. I have yet to been told the course of action. I received my 2024 Honda CR-V on April 18, 2024 and paid cash for the car including extended warranty of $2895.00 The finance person called me on April 18, 2024 and stated I need to sign one more paper not included initially. At that time, I told him I want to cancel the extended warranty. On April 19th, I went to Honda of Salem to sign the missing paperwork AND THE CANCELLATION PAPERWORK 26 hours after receiving my new car. RECOMMENDED My sales person Mike was very informative and helpful, especially when showing my wife the controls and features. He did an excellent job. It was all pretty painless. I had expressed that I was tired and they accommodated me and my needs. I would reccommend this dealer.
I highly recommend Honda of Salem and the O'Brien auto group Honda of Salem is above and beyond the best dealership I have purchased a car from. They picked my wife and I up from our home in Portland, brought us to the dealership in Salem, had the car cleaned and washed when we got to the store. They had our paperwork almost all done by the time we arrived. My wife and I where in and out in less than 35 mins.
Returned the vehicle that we had wanted to purchase due to undisclosed mechanical defects that according to the CARFAX, the dealership knew about and hid. This is a violation of the UTPA and I've filed my case with the Department of Justice for consumer fraud. On top of this, they continued to lie about the nature of their history with the vehicle and ceaselessly tried to sell me service contracts for their apparently incompetent service center. After shopping and shopping at dealerships with nothing but frustration with how the salesman manipulate the numbers to come up with your desired monthly payment I went home frustrated and exhausted! Which prompted me to call Honda of Salem, and I got Miguel L***. He immediately took the information for the car I was looking for and said he would call me back after speaking with his manager on a price.
