As a former employee (Technician) from this place I would just like to say that this place is one of the worse if not the worse place to get your car serviced. Staring with the Express Techs, They don't even have the basic tools to perform oil changes. Used car don't get really inspected like the should as well. I'm Surprised America Honda hasn't caught on to their "certified Inspections" and I hope one day they do and shut this place down. I'm extremely unhappy with my experience at Honda of Pasadena. I purchased a Certified 2017 Honda Civic EX last week on 12/26/19. The morning after my purchase, I noticed a constant rattling noise from the shift nob that got louder as I would accelerate. I bought a 2017 Honda Civic from these guys and I couldn't be happier. The entire process was painless and Brandon & Mo H. (internet sales) were great to worth with. I had been on the hunt for a new car for one of my sons as a college graduation gift for 2mo's. Till now my experience has been good with them. They gave me a free oil change since I bought the car from there. Their services are a little expensive but they use genuine honda parts I suppose.
They should have a banner saying "CAN'T DO IT RIGHT THE FIST TIME".....Replaced my engine under extended Honda warranty (due to crack in the engine block). The day after I picked up the vehicle, it stalled on the freeway when I tried to accelerate to pass a big rig. I was barely able to get the vehicle back to the shoulder before I was rear-ended. Went to dealer and they had to clean moisture from plugs(?) and "re-learned CKP". A couple of months later, noticed an oil leak and the RPM dropping to 500 at idle when AC was on. ... read more
If you want to buy/lease a car without much headaches, Honda of Pasadena is the place to go. I leased a 2014 Honda Civic LX a week ago and it was a very satisfying experience. They will not play games with you and will be honest upfront about the numbers and will not waste your time. They are patient and not pushy with their sales. I take my car to Honda of Pasadena because they are great. I am greeted by name. My car is 10 yrs old buts runs almost like new thanks to the care in the service department.
My family is a long time user of this dealership in terms of service. And they are great at this. However, when it comes to buying new cars they can be a bit snobby compared to other Honda dealers because they are in Pasadena. It seemed that they figured because of all the rich people in the area they did not need my business nor were they willing to haggle at all about the price. I ended up going to another Honda dealer and got the deal I wanted and had a very, very pleasant experience in the process.
