RecommendedMy friend and I had two entrees, the enchiladas verde and camarones a la diabla. Both were very large portions with rice and beans. They were both freshly prepared and burst with spicy flavors. We also had guacamole which was a nice add while waiting for our food. Service was very friendly, I will definitely be back!
The food here is delicious. Hortentia came out and introduced herself and took our order. When our food came out, she asked how everything was and asked if we would like more of anything. This was the first month they opened. I've returned several times. Really good food.
I’ve gone to Homi a number of times, and for the most part the food is fresh and good. It’s literally a hole in the wall, and those are the ones that stand out with good food. I find the burritos and pastor tacos to be the best items, along with their plantains. And the guacamole...best I’ve had. For those complaining of the wait, the food is made fresh so if you’re looking for a grab and run Homi’s not for you. Went in for the first time wanting to try authentic Mexican food. Walked in and no one acknowledged us. We stood by the counter for at least 10 minutes while the worker walked passed us multiple times, 2 times they came to the counter right in front of us to pick up phone calls and still ignored us. Authentic Mexican food in the heart of Frogtown on University. I asked a patron who was from southern Mexico if the food was “just like home,” and he responded in the affirmative. Always a good meal.
Very good food. Very friendly workers even stayed open a little long so we could order our food and stay there and eat . Thank you 🙏 I would recommend this restaurant to everybody!!
