We spent three nights at this location. It was our first time staying at a Homewood Suites and there were many elements that made it an excellent stay for us. First of all, it is very close to many amenities that made it a very convenient location: Southcenter Mall, our favorite bakery 85 Degrees, the light rail is 5 minutes away with free parking, 10 minutes from the airport. Great place very clean and comfortable would recommend.
Updated review due to staff. Have had multiple interactions that have really improved my view of the hotel. They really seem to like their job and it shows. Elevator was broken, rooms smelled musty and smoky but staff was friendly and location is great.
The room was older and not well maintained. Walls seemed pretty thin. There seemed to be an infestation of small ants in my bathroom, mostly, but I also saw some on the nightstand and a few in my pillows. There were stains on the bathroom floor, caulk slathered on the corners hiding who knows what, and a toilet that wouldn’t stop running. Housekeeping doesn’t notice these things? With no other rooms available, I checked out and went to a Marriott for the remainder of the week. Desk clerk did not charge me for the night.
As a customer, you shouldn't have to do this, but since the hotel isn't forthcoming about any issues I recommend asking if all facilities are working before booking. I recently stayed here with my family and only after checking in and going to the room did we find a letter from management letting us know that during the weekend the water would be off from 1030-330 pm and if we needed to use any facilities we would need to go to the front desk and be directed to another unit.
