There were bed bugs and ants all over the room. Room was cleaned but severe bug problem.
Every time we plan a vacation to this area, we always choose to stay at Homewood Suites because it is close to most places we like to visit - Mercato, Coconut Grove, Tin City, 5th Ave, Fort Myers Beach, and Vanderbilt Beach. Marco Island, Captiva and Sanibel are also within driving distance. The rooms are spacious and the mini kitchenette each suite has is a plus. We booked Homewood Suites for just one night and then extended it for 3 more days. That alone says everything. From the moment we arrived, every staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, not like just another reservation. The front desk team Christopher, Trinity, Brandon, and Diana were warm, kind, and consistently friendly no matter the time of day. Pool closes before the sun sets - what a joke. 5:30 pool time ends in Florida lol luckily it’s heated though for the daylight hours
