I recently had a deeply troubling experience with this Homewatch that I feel compelled to share. My father was under their care, and what transpired was nothing short of heartbreaking. Our experience has solely been with our moms caregiver, Kathleen (KT)...not Homewatch admin. That being said, KT has been a godsend. She has made such a difference in not only our mom's quality of life, but ours. We are so appreciative of KT's compassionate care and dedication.
As with any kind of public service, some workers are more intuitive and efficient than others. Naturally, it depends on the client's needs matched with the worker's abilities. Home Watch tries hard to find a suitable match. We had 1 morning and 1 night, 2- hour shift women, M-F. The Home Watchers office is managed by cheerful people and is available after hours to call if there is a problem. I feel as if it's a scam to bankrupt the elderly. A little over 5k week for non medical personnel to take care of your loved one. We were promised nurses would check on my my mom that never happened. We were promised physical therapy for my mom that happened once.my mom has a drain tube in her abdomen while the doctors are trying to get the infection to go down so they can operate. She needs to be on a diet with people to enforce that diet, not take her to restaurants and fast food chains.
