I spent three years renting from this company. They were fantastic, personable, easy to work with, and had the best deals in town (they still do). You won't find a company that can beat their deals. Unfortunately as time went on I began having an extremely difficult time with them. Maintenance requests took far to long. Nicole is absolutely amazing! We are in the position where we would have much rather sold since we had to move to another state. It's an unsettling feeling to have such a large financial responsibility so far away and out of your control, but Nicole has made it stress free. I was a property owner having Independence rent out my house for me. They were the worst company I have ever worked with and would not recommend anyone to have them rent their property or to rent a property from them. They evicted the renters out in less than 4 months of rent then said they tried to get it rented to others. I put it on the market and within 4 days I had my house rented and then had to cancel the contract with them and pay $2000.00 because they could not do their job while they still owe me over $5000.00 i... read more

Currently my husband and I are renting. Our contract was previously with Eagle but Eagle transferred everything to Independence Capital over a year ago. Our lease ran out and we are going month by month. We did not ever sign a lease with Independence but they are the property management company. With our contract with Eagle we had 3 days to pay our rent. We had never been late on rent until last month (Nov 2015) when I simply forgot and paid it on the 2nd of Nov. instead of the first. Worst rental experience in my life. Lack of communication, bad repairs on repairs done to property, charge for paying rent online, charge for paying in person, and much more. They lack integrity. They flat out lied to me. I will never do business with this company again. I would encourage others, based on my personal experience, to never do business with them.
