This company does not live up to its promises. I haven't save more than a few dollar each month. That is nowhere near the savings I was promised. Now the system is not working at all. I called and informed them, but they say they are backed up and it will be weeks before they can come out. Meanwhile I'm making monthly payments on a useless product.

I had hoped that my experience with this company would be different than what I saw in these review forums. If Homestar addresses the issues I will raise here, I will happily edit the review to reflect this. As lots of other people have said, the salesmen gave a good pitch. They were very transparent about the costs and benefits of solar installation. The installation of everything but the panels was a good experience. We installed Solar panels nearly 3 years ago. We have NEVER gotten the rebates promised to us. The construction company, contracted by HomeStar damaged our new roof, causing several major leaks inside our house. We contacted both companies several times to tell them about the leaks, no one did anything until we filed a complaint with BBB. Both companies called to offer us a $100 to remove our complaints, we told them we only wanted the repairs made. We have had awful experience with this company. They told us we wouldn't be paying any more a month for solar and the loan then we are before solar and that is certainly not true. I have tried to contact the company multiple times and they either brush me off saying it's not enough time or do not return my calls. I have contacted them one last time before reporting them. We signed an agreement with Homestar Solar Solutions on May 10, 2018 and no materials were never ordered, delivered or installed even though they were given $24,445.00 on May 22, 2018 from the bank (EnerbankUSA whom Homestar recommended and have worked with us to resolve the issue). The total of the loan is $48,890 through Enerbank with 2 years no interest, no payments. They told me they where going to service my ac unit insulation the attic install a solar barrier on roof rafters replace light bulbs they did none of these and install a 200 amp box on the house they did a 150 amp service now my breakers are tripping now

I have paperwork that literally states my federal credit for the solar system is double what it is in reality. I know what I was told by the sales representative. I've tried a dozen time to contact the owner and have never been called back. I would avoid this company at all costs and the output of the solar isn't close to what the sales representative estimated so it won't pay for itself for decades.
