I told Andrew L. from the get go that we were not interested in purchasing any points to lower the interest rate. At the time I was quoted 7ish percent from Homesite and 6% from Penn Fed. Andrew said he could beat any other offer we had and wanting to go with a local company we chose Homesite. My wife and I recently purchased a new construction home from Lombardo and used its mortgage subsidiary - Homesite Mortgage - for our loan. We worked with Phil Puchalski, who was absolutely great. He handled our application promptly and responded to each and every inquiry immediately. As a result, everything went very smoothly. The only hiccup was that the 12-month rate lock we utilized was canceled two months prior to our closing date, due to market conditions.
