We bought a house in May 2018 and as we were first-time home buyers, we followed the instructions of our Realtor and let US Inspect to do the inspection. At first it looked that the inspection was done very well, but as soon as we moved in we ran into issues that clearly should have been caught by the inspector. We had leaks, we ran into mildew, and right now we are in the middle of replacing the deck, as it has several rotten wood parts. As buyers, we had US inspect perform a home inspection on our house in Acworth, Brian Smay was the inspector. Everything was checked off as being solid with the house and appliances. We bought the house only to find the dishwasher was completely dysfunctional. We pulled up the inspection report, and next to the dishwasher Brian had checked as being in working condition. Used HomeSafe to inspect my home around 2/2015. Everything seemed to go great until I moved in and needed to turn on my A/C for the first time. Found my entire unit was not working and needed to be replaced along with the air handler ($3500) within two weeks of closing. Inspector prepared what appeared to be a very thorough report. He made mention of many items, from minor inconveniences to things requiring repair immediately.
