great food fresh cooked
Service was good. Had high hopes. Liked the dingy vibe, but the food was just mediocre. The fried chicken was good, but the meatloaf and grits, and the redneck pot pie is not recommended. Bland, dry, didn’t taste fresh. We would not recommend this place and will not go back.
Great food, great atmosphere
I visited HomeGrown 5 years ago and absolutely LOVED it. I just returned to Asheville this weekend and went to HomeGrown with high hopes...it certainly did not disappoint. I love their authentic farm-to-table, natural approach to food. 100% recommend.
Great huevos con chorizo
Delicious!
Food: The wings weren't spicy, but they packed a lot of flavor. The green beans weren't overcooked, they were nice and snappy. The collards were phenomenal, seriously, it was a religious experience. Service: over the top excellence! They were one wing short for my order so they gave me an extra side And comped my wings. Someone also came out midway into our meal just to make sure everything was fine. This was hands down my best dining experience in a long time. <3
This place came highly recommended from a few locals. It didnt disappoint. The food menu was different from most ma and pop places but in a good way, and they also had a great selection of craft beers! I had the Falentil wrap; tasted like a fresh gyro, Yummy! My bf had the fried catfish with cheesy grits and horseradish potato cakes, everything was delicious!! The place itself was a little "divy" and compartmental, would be hard to accommodate groups of more than 4.
