HomeBridge Canada was hired to do HVAC at my house located in McKellar. They started the job August 8th 2023. Promised to finish the work within 10 business days. In the meantime, they took over a new townhouse complex under construction (Barrie, Ontario)from a large developer. I have been dealing with them forever over twenty years and until now everything has been fine. I called to have my furnace serviced and found out that they closed up over three months ago. During that time they charged my credit card every month. The credit card company says they can’t do stop payments like a cheque. I must dispute the charge every month.The lesson here is don’t give anybody pre authorized payments privilege on your credit card. I will be contacting local police for advice as this seems like a scam.
I dont believe they are in operation any longer based on various data points. Purchased heatpump in 2023 and install process was very good. Needed service this summer and calls go unanswered and never returned. Look elsewhere for an HVAC company.
After dealing with homebirds for over 3 to 5 years I find it necessary to take my five-star rating away down to a one star as I've been waiting over 3 weeks for a phone call to return so they can come and fix my AC it's the middle of summer temperatures are 28 to oh and have you yet the receive a phone call back this is unacceptable as I have paid for my maintenance agreement in full for a year and now that I got a problem they don't call back it appears to me that the company's going under at one point they were telling me ... read more
