Everyone and every place have off days. This serves as a reminder for the establishment to step it up, slacking does not befit you. That said, the location is great. Across the street is the historical Reading Market, close enough to the boardwalk to walk, and across the street from the convention center. I travel half the year for work and I've never felt compelled to leave a review due to how poor the quality of a HILTON brand was. The entrance door was broken all weekend -- only one half opened, the other broken, yet there was no sign or anything warning users.All 3 elevators broke on our last day. Not to mention the deadbolt to our room broke and once we left the room one day, we were unable to close the door. Right across from Reading Terminal and in walking distance or everything! I was super impressed with the accomodations. Stayed in a two queen bed room where I was surprised to have a couch, partition, and dishwasher. Great place to stay visiting Philly. Staff was great!
Hotel is poorly run and the rooms smell very strongly of cleaning chemicals/artificial fragrances. Room wasn’t ready until 1.5 hours after check in time. Took multiple contacts with hotel staff to get issues addressed. Bed is uncomfortable and just by looking at you can tell it needs to be replaced (concave indents). Bedding on the bed is odd (no fitted sheet but 2 overlapping flat sheets where each covers like 2/3rds the length of the bed). Location is great but hotel seems dysfunctional.
