Perfect for a staycation extended weekend with family or solo! The indoor pool is a plus plus!
Rooms are spacious but have a strong, lingering stench of cleaning supplies. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room for my entire 2 day stay. Floors/ceilings are thin enough to clearly hear what people in the room above are saying. Definitely not worth the price, I would not return.
Not sure what happened to business dress codes for employees with Hilton brand hotels. Probably would not stay at this particular chain of Hilton again, a bit too casual for the price. I wanted somewhere nice for the family, the number of piercings is something I'd expect at a bar not the front desk? Additionally, there were no luggage carts available for the whole first hour so we had to bring in everything slowly. Did like the pull out couch, room layout was nice.
For Merrillville the location is easy to get to and surrounded by shopping and dining. The staff was really friendly and always happy to engage you. The rooms are clean and the kitchenette area is well stocked. If you are traveling with a person who has dietary restrictions where restaurants might not always be the best option the door prep area is nice.
