I was a little disappointed with this kit. I paid $40 for the "Gaussian Rifle" kit, and it only included 4 small magnets, about 10 ball bearings, and two dowels. There were no printed instructions, tape, glue, or even safety goggles included. The biggest issue was convenience. When you have a very excited 9-year-old who's ready to build something, it's frustrating to have to stop, print instructions, and scramble to find the rest of the materials.
