My son reviewed all of the companies that offered home care. My wife had dementia. We selected Home Instead because we thought they offered the best care. We certainly made the right choice. We we were impressed with Theresa and her staff because because they didn't do this as a job,it was their passion. We used their services for around three years and the passion remained. An incredible organization with truly wonderful staff! The level of compassion and expertise Home Instead brought to my father’s care before he passed was unmatched. Even as his physical needs changed, he remained incredibly sharp and loved joking around until the very end. This agency used to be great 2024 and prior however they have become TERRIBLE! They outsourced to a call center that isn't helpful. The caregiver are paid minimum wage, have minimum training and just sit there despite the client being wet, soiled, hungry, thirsty or in any kind of need. Inhumane care from most however in the past they had the best trained, compassionate caregivers. Probably the worst communication and organization. Are not well connected to their clients nor do they focus on their needs or do regular check-in. Pay is abysmal and no interest in building a good care. Provider network is an absolute failure.
