Highly recommended for service or work place!
I called to arrange help for my mom while I am out of town (two hours a day for three days, total). The Home Instead website states "We can schedule a professional CAREGiver to help for a few hours or as many as 24 hours", however, I was told that Skokie Home Instead only works with families who are looking for a weekly, ongoing caregiver and not a one time need. This should be stated clearly on their website so people looking for temporary help do not waste their time.
Home Instead was so receptive to my Father's needs and my own. I liked the first contact I had with them by phone and it just kept getting better. They are patient with the family members, explaining everything that they do, and a staff members always brings a new caregiver to the home to introduce. My Dad had the same caregiver for the 8 months we used Home Instead and it made him feel very comfortable about having someone in his home. Can't say enough about Home Instead!!! My family and Mother always felt so safe when one of their staff was in our home. The way they introduce new staff members to your home and loved one is truly unique and really should be the standard of how it's done in the industry. They always went out of their way to try to find the same caregiver again and again for our Mom. This made her feel very comfortable about having in-home care. Very professional when we needed help for my grandfather. A difficult time for us obviously but home instead was so great. They lowered the stress and took such good care.
