Michael Dove performed an inspection on our home for a potential buyer. We have a geothermal HVAC system, so the buyer had an HVAC company come to inspect that at the same time who was grossly unqualified to do so. While the inspector was thorough in all areas, he did not independently note inspection by himself of the geothermal system. If he had it could have meant the difference between clearing up the dangerous, inaccurate information provided to the buyer by the HVAC tech and having it collapse as it did. Very experienced, thorough home inspector. He found several things that previous inspectors completely missed. He has been in the business for decades, and also has a lot of experience in home construction. He really knows what to look for. And he's a generally great and friendly guy too. Great conversations and advice while I accompanied him on the inspection.
I am forever grateful for Mike’s very detailed work. He is, hands down, the best home inspector I have ever worked with. Just know that if you hire Mike, you’re in good hands. He found some foundation issues and repairs for a house I was buying and recommended a stand-up structural engineer to do a survey. I don’t know what I would have done without his expertise.
NOT MIKE DOVE's shop. Some other trading on his good name. A lack of integrity allowing Mike Dove recommendations to be on their Google feed and using his company name with an "s" and the end.
I would never even consider using another home inspector. Mike did an absolutely amazing job, he’s very through, provides a detailed report, and knows what he’s talking about. He’s “the best in the business” from the many recommendations I got when I was looking for an inspector for my first home. By my account, he exceeded that reputation. His calendar is usually booked out a bit compared to others in the business but he’s well worth waiting the extra few days.
