I really like this Hospital. I’ve had care here myself as well as my grandmother. I assisted an elderly friend here as well with her visits. The care is consistent & I find it less wait here than larger teaching type hospitals which are often too busy & actually can overlook things as well as get into debates over correct procedure. All contacts have been thorough & courteous. Now to be transparent I do remember one nurse here when my gram was here. She was the only exception. So-so. Holyoke Hospital's staff is generally very good - they seem to know what they're doing and are patient and helpful, but communication skills need work and if someone says they'll call you back they probably won't. The hospital itself leaves a lot to be desired. It is old and run down, parking is limited and rather far from the hospital entrance, and the rooms are on the dreary side.

A good hospital Holyoke Medical Center is a good hospital that offers the same care as other local bigger hospitals, but without all the wait. The also have a blood donor center and behavioral health network. I like the more individualized attention you can receive here.
